Herring Festival at Aquavit, Human Towers at 230 Fifth

Human tower!
Perhaps you were inspired to check out some of NYC's Nordic restaurants after you read our look at the city's Scandinavian culinary craze. Well, if you wanted to hit up Aquavit, now is the time to do it, because the joint is in the midst of its annual Herring Festival. On weekdays from June 11-23, the eatery will offer a special prix fixe lunch menu for $35. On Fridays and Saturdays during that span, the restaurant will roll out a smörgåsbord of herring along with some other classic Swedish grub for $32 per person during lunch and $42 during diner (212-307-7311).

Over in the Flatiron District, rooftop bar 230 Fifth is set to reach a little higher in the air with an unusual publicity stunt. On June 20, the bar will play host to an 150-member acrobatic troupe from Spain to build an 8-story human pyramid on top of the roof. And, they won't be wearing harnesses (take that guy who's walking across Niagara Falls on a tightrope). It's supposedly breaking some sort of World Record, but we think the real reason to stop by is that it looks pretty cool. The Tower building starts at 8:15 PM (212-725-4300).
