Get Out of Town: Palm Springs Restaurant Week Begins Today

The difference main difference between Restaurant Week in LA and the one in Palm Springs, which runs June 1 through 10, is you can head out to the desert and get a couple of great dinners, a hotel room, spa treatment or game of golf all on the cheap. Here, we just eat until we can't eat anymore, and then plot which three restaurants we'll hit the next day. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Since it's slightly off season (and, sure, kind of hot), it's the perfect time to check out the Coachella Valley dining scene on a dime. Places like the ACE Hotel's Kings Road Cafe, our favorite for breakfast and dinner, Las Casuelas Terraza, Matchbox, TRIO, Norma's at the Parker, and many others offer three-course menus priced $24 to $36. And should you want to ride up the Aerial Tramway, there's a discount for that, too. Check out the website for the full list of participants.
