News is flying fast today about the
Chinatown Brasserie space in NoHo. First,
Grub Street reported that it's closing for good tonight. The owners hope to move the concept to a smaller location, so stay tuned for news on that front. In a huge development, chef Andrew Carmellini confirmed with
Diner's Journal that he's going to take over the massive space and launch a French Restaurant. Judging by the crowds at
The Dutch and
Locanda Verda, Carmellini's other two eateries, if this one is anything but a mega hit it will be a huge surprise. Not a lot of details about what to expect yet, but look for an opening near the end of the year.
