Foodie Happenings in London This Weekend: June 14-17

Comfort eating in the rain.

One of Soho's oldest pubs has turned vegetarian. Head to The Coach & Horses for raw vegan lasagne with cashew cheese, tofu 'fish' and chips, polenta and artichokes in tomato sauce or a portobello burger with root-veg chips prepared by the ex chef from Manna in Primrose Hill. There is also a selection of vegan beers, wine and cakes (020 7437 5930).

Book now online for next weekend's Forgotten Feast - the supper club organised by FoodCycle - a charity that takes unwanted and ugly foods and turns them into meals for those in need. Working with eco-minded chef Tom Hunt, the tasting menu will be available from Thursday, June 21-Sunday, June 24 and will be prepared using ugly vegetables, foraged foods and unusual cuts of meat and fish. Waste not, want not.

Cookbook author, TV personality and chef Ravinder Bhogal hosts her monthly nine-course supper club at The Dispensary on Saturday. Bag a seat at her surprise tasting evening with a set menu (£39) inspired by global cuisines. Every meal and course is different and could include anything from truffle edamame dumplings, pork loin skewers and five-spice-and-orange churros (9@thedispensarylondon.co.uk).

If taking dad to Paris for the day is a little out of your price range, treat him to lunch at Chabrot Bistro D'Amis instead. This Parisian hideaway in the middle of Knightsbridge is offering a special Father's Day menu today. For £27 per person feast on housemade foie gras, rump steak with french fries and Bernaise, apricot hot souffle and more (020 7225 2238).
