First Bite: Zagat Readers Review Richard Sandoval's Raymi

Richard Sandoval debuted his massive Peruvian restaurant Raymi in the Flatiron District last week. Taking over the large space that used to house Nuela, this joint dishes out Pisco by the bucket full and ceviche - but is it worth a visit? We invited two Zagat fans to dinner and got them to share their thoughts. Since all of our reviews are built using user-generated content, who better to give their opinion than a few of our readers?

Alessia M. works in finance and knows what's what in the food world - just ask her about the merits of Atera or NYC's Japanese food scene. Katia M. works in sales and is less food crazy but still loves going out (the last initial is no coincidence, they're sisters!). Click through the slideshow below to see what they think, and if you want to be our next reader to test out a new restaurant, email jmulcahy@zagat.com to get on the list!

  1. Um, the dish is called lomo saltado, and it's traditionally served with fries. That they get soggy and sop up the sauce is the point. Do your homework before reviewing cuisine with which you're not familiar.
