Dairy Queen Will Open in NYC This Year

Pinkberry, Red Mango, blah blah blah, all that fro-yo is way too healthy! Sometimes you just want to get lost in a Blizzard. Well, Bloomberg News has word that the DQ is coming to the Big Apple! They chat with John Gainor, the company's CEO, who says that he's planning to open three or four stores in NYC by the end of the year. That includes one on Staten Island. Gainor was asked about the Mayor's pending ban on really big sodas, and said that he wants his customers to have "options" but said the of course the chain would have to work with the ban if it was put through. In case you're wondering, the DQ does offer a smaller version of its signature Blizzard for calorie counters in the crowd.
