Coming Soon: Duck & Waffle

Duck & Waffle: Not a bad view
We told you a few weeks back about SushiSamba coming to London's Heron Tower and now we've got the lowdown on the restaurant that will sit above it on the 40th floor.

Duck & Waffle will have a mix of European and British influences with rustic, local, seasonal dishes designed for sampling and sharing. Heading up the kitchen will be Daniel Doherty, formerly of The Old Brewery at the Royal Naval College in Greenwich, The Empress in Victoria Park, and The Ambassador in Exmouth Market, London.

But, most excitingly of all for London, the restaurant will be open 24/7 with different menus available for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and late night - perfect for city slickers who want a bite after working on that deal till the early hours.

Expect hearty dishes such as Old Spot Pork Pie with smoked quail egg; housemade black pudding with gooseberry chutney; bacon-wrapped dates with linguiƧa sausage and endive salad; and British seafood pot roast with n’duja and wild sea vegetables.

The restaurant will have 98 covers set in a swanky interior that melds stainless steel and frosted glass with ceramic tiles and weathered wood, and features wraparound floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the City - check out the view above -  an open kitchen and a 24-seat bar.
Opening is slated for August 15 and the reservations line is open now.
