Chefs Take to the Grills at 3 BBQ Fests

BBQ week may winding down to a close (we know, we're sad too), but there are plenty of opportunities this summer to fire up a grill - or watch a local chef do it for you. Tickets for three BBQ events are on sale now.

Grill and Chill
Next weekend, in addition to Adam Perry Lang, Guy Fieri, Stephanie Izard, Gale Gand and many more will be taking to the grills for Better Homes and Gardens Grill and Chill Festival. In addition to demonstrations, there will be grilling classes, live music and plenty of food (Waveland Park, Recreation Dr. in Lakeview).



Pig Roast
An all-star lineup including chefs from X-mark, Three Aces, Green Zebra, Uncommon Ground, Sable Kitchen and Bar, Vera, Goose Island Brewpub and La Boulangerie will have their way with Slagel Family Farm hogs at the fourth annual Slow Food Chicago pig roast on June 10 (Goose Island Beer Company, 1800 West Fulton St.).

Chef’s BBQ
It’s a picnic in the park cooked by 100 of the city’s finest chefs. Dishes features produce, meats and other products from Green City Market will be accompanied by local beer, wine and hand-crafted cocktails on July 12 (Green City Market, Lincoln Park, 1750 N. Clark St.).
