Yesterday, we told you about the new members only club that the Out NYC Hotel is planning. But, we didn't say anything about the food! KTCHN, the hotel's restaurant, is serving up simple New American dishes that are reasonably priced for the neighborhood (much like the fare at sister restaurant Eatery) and elevate things beyond the "tourist trap" level seen beyond a lot of the other restaurants on the surrounding areas of 42nd Street.
Our favorite dish was the red snapper, but it wasn't the fish that was the standout on the plate. It was the leek raviolo that the snapper was placed upon (spinach also graced the plate, but it was a tad too salty for our taste) that was our fave. We could have easily eaten a whole bowl of this veggie filled pasta, and suspect the crowd dining in the sleek bar space could have followed suit (leeks make you skinny, right?).
