The Best Thing We Ate Last Night: Lobster Roll From The Lobster Place

We've been on a bit of a lobster roll bender lately. Just when we started to think that we've gorged on enough tasty crustaceans for the summer (including over a dozen in one sitting), we started craving another lobster roll. Our latest mayo-soaked travels took us to The Lobster Place, a Chelsea Market mainstay that packs them in without much love or buzz from the press.

After one bite of their roll, which is served with a small side of chips and slaw, we had to ask - why aren't people raving about this place as much as Luke's or the Red Hook Lobster Pound? While their roll is of the more traditional variety - aka heavy on the mayo - it is easily one of NYC's best. OK, that's not totally fair to say as we haven't tried every lobster roll in the Big Apple, but there's still a lot of summer left. We'll get there.
