For a change of pace we look to our friend in the north and try a Canadian classic - poutine. The ultimate hangover cure starts with a layer of french fries, then is topped with cheese curds and smothered in gravy.
From pig face poutine at The Barrelhouse Flat to the five dishes featured below, the variety of poutine is only limited to the chef's imagination - and availability of fresh cheese curds. Exotic flavors and gourmet additions (think chicken to boar and duck to pork) are also making their way onto fries as America embraces the Canadian staple.

The nice thing about poutine for hangovers is that if you can't keep it down, you can upchuck it into your bowl and never see the difference.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunatly, none of these would satisfy my cravings for a real poutine.
