5 Must-Try Non-Deep-Dish Pizzas

Where is best deep-dish in Chicago? It is the argument that divides more Chicagoans than the Cubs-Sox rivalry. Local pizzerias have been firing two-inch-thick pies for decades. Each has a history, heated fans and flavor profiles. Choosing a favorite would be like a parent choosing their favorite child (even if we had a favorite, we would never tell).

We know the major players: Lou Malnati’s, Giordano’s, Gino’s EastUno and Due. However, there are more praise-worthy slices on the scene. These look a little different – they are bubbly and thin, with a sheer coating of sauce and sprinkling of cheese. They are non-deep-dish pizzas and we have five that every Chicagoans should try, before sinking their teeth into another slice of trademark Chicago-style.
