2 More Secret and Not-So-Secret Foie Gras Farewell Dinners In SF

Do you trust this man to cook your last foie gras meal?
You didn't really expect San Francisco chefs to let foie gras go gently into the night did you? Here are two more late-breaking final hurrah foie gras dinners.

Bon Vivants' Farewell to the Foie 11th Hour Underground Dinner Party: Saturday June 30   

The talented barkeeps extraordinaire best known as The Bon Vivant, are hooking up with Under 30 chef Chester Watson (who you'll recall will be heading up the kitchen at their forthcoming Trick Dog bar near Central Kitchen) to bid bon voyage to the legal consumption of foie gras this Saturday. The soiree, which starts at 10PM (suitably late for such secret proceedings) will take place at an undiscovered location in San Francisco on Saturday night. Guests who purchase tickets ($80/person including pairings) through Eventbrite will be emailed the day-of with the location of the dinner. The four-course menu, however is not a secret, though the booze pairings remain on the QT.

Jardiniere's Farewell to Foie Gras Dinner: Friday June 29 & Saturday June 30

Traci des Jardins has long been known for her foie gras preparation, which remain on the menu of her Civic Center boite until the ban goes into effect. But she's just announced that she intends to her guests go out with a blaze of glory, offering a special five-course all foie dinner this weekend
