Planning a trip to Paris? If you said "oui", you'll want to check out our 2012/13 Paris Restaurants Guide, which was released this week. Tres bien! The guide covers 714 Parisian eateries, based on the comments of 8,015 avid diners. Diners in the City of Lights eat out an average of three times a week, which puts them ahead of London (2.4) but behind Tokyo (4.0). Paris is actually one of the most expensive dining towns around, with the average cost of a meal coming in at 61.64€. That's more than London at 51.89€ and nearly double New York City at 32.76€ - how do you say "yowza!" in French?
It's no surprise that prices are so high, since there are so many top-notch restaurants in the city. Number one on that list is Chef Alain Solivérès’ “sublime” Taillevent, which won top honors in both the Food and the Service categories, very impressive. The Most Popular restaurant was L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon while surveyors said the Best Decor can be found at Cristal Room.
To get the full results, you can keep your eyes peeled for the guide at your local bookstore, or check out the reviews and ratings at zagat.com. Because, remember, we'll always have Paris (we had to say it)...
