Tri-State Wire: Guest Chefs at Elements, Psilakis in Westchester

We've been hearing a lot of great buzz about Elements, a restaurant in Princeton, New Jersey that scored an impressive 26 for food in our last restaurant survey and features cuisine from chef Scott Anderson. If you've been looking for an excuse to make the trek out to the Garden State, an upcoming series of collaborative dinners may be just the inspiration you need. Anderson will host chefs like Jeremiah Langhorne of McCrady's in Charleston, South Carolina and Michael Cimarusti of Providence in LA to join him int he kitchen, where they will prepare a seven-course dinner for $145 per person. The series starts this Friday and runs through July, get more info here (609-924-0078).

There's also news coming from Westchester, where NYC chef Michael Psilakis (Fishtag) just opened a new restaurant dubbed MP Taverna in Irvington. The eatery offers the chef's take on Greek fare, with options ranging from small plates meant for sharing to whole animal feasts for large groups. The 120-seat eatery is located in a building that was constructed in the 18th century and diners will be able to scope out the original beams and rafters, which are still standing. Positively old school (One Bridge St.; Irvington).
