Should you have a hankerin' for a pulled pork sundae, head over to
Lucques' "indoor picnic" on Sunday. Suzanne Goin, who was inspired by her recent visit to Blackberry Farm in the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, and Caroline Styne have sweet tea-brined fried chicken, succotash salad, buttermilk biscuts and gravy and frozen banana cream pie on the menu. That pulled pork sundae? Think: delicious pig, cole slaw and baked beans layered in a glass. $45 (323-655-6277).
Also on Sunday,
Katana's 10th Red Sun BBQ Garden is back on the patio overlooking the Sunset Strip. Bask in the sun, listen to DJs, sip some sangria, and dig into a dishes like albacore cannoli, special sushi rolls, and 40-day dry-aged NY steak cooked over bincho charcoals. The party takes place from 6 to 11:30 PM every week through Labor Day. (323-650-8585)
