Tanuki Tavern Shutters, Will Reopen as Toy in Two Weeks

Phone calls confirm that Jeffrey Chodorow's Tanuki Tavern at the Gansevoort Hotel is closed and will reopen in two weeks as Toy, a major decor revamp and a New American/Asian menu is planned but details are scarce. The new restaurant will be co-run by the Koch Bros. but will still remain under the Chodorow umbrella. Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
