Spring Launches: Lunch at L'asso EV, New Menu at P.J. Clarke's and More

You've seen our must-try spring dishes, but good news - the season brings even more to look forward to in the form of new launches from a bunch of local restaurants.

Tomorrow sees the start of lunch at the East Village location of pizzeria L'asso. Expect a diverse mix of offerings including the entire organic and gluten free pizza menus, 10 salads, pastas, burgers, housemade bagels, steak 'n' eggs, frittatas, Stumptown Coffee, craft beers, wines and more. Just one more reason to be jealous of those working Downtown - sure beats the cold slice you grab around the corner (11:30 AM onward; 212-837-2045).

In other pizza news, relative LES newcomer Via Tribunali is now offering a happy hour special, granting patrons $5 Margherita, Diavola and Marinara pizzas, $3 beers and $8 half-carafes of wine at the bar (4-6 PM and from 10 PM-close; 212-260-8742).

And in Midtown you'll find changes as well, including a new spring menu at P.J. Clarke's, with additions like yellowfin tuna tartare tacos, country bacon wrapped dates with Coach Farms goat cheese and braised short rib spring rolls. Also new, the ice rink space at Rockefeller Place has morphed into a "Summer Garden and Bar" for the season, featuring a fresh herb garden, umbrellas and menu options including grilled corn on the cob, burgers and more.
