The S'cream Truck: Food Truck of the Week

The S'cream Truck may have hit the streets a few months ago, but it's much more appropriate now, when everyone craves ice cream at all hours of the day. Especially banana chip ice cream formed into little balls, rolled in chocolate chips and serve on a stick. Thank you, S'cream Balls. The refurbished 70s postal truck - they can't even take it on the freeways - is the brainchild of two Westside moms, Sarah Reinhardt and Louise Browne-Gonzalez, who simply wanted to bring back some good, old-fashioned ice cream fun.

No creepy trucks with warped jingles jangling from a broken speaker or frozen "dairy" products for these gals. Instead, the truck has it's own cheery theme song, LA Creamery artisanal ice cream, Beachy Cream gluten-fre ice cream sandwiches, the aforementioned balls, and S'cream Cups, which are simply a scoop of ice cream in a cup. The truck rolls out five or six days a week and caters a lot of events and TV sets (today it's Dexter), but you can catch The S'cream Truck at First Friday on Abbot Kinney tomorrow. Per usual, follow the Facebook and Twitter feeds for daily whereabouts.
