Noodies, the most Uptown of the three, proves there's always room for another Thai joint on this strip. A few doors down from that is the new coffee joint Kahve, which we alerted you to a few weeks ago. This java joint should please those who have bemoaned the closing of Coffee Pot, leaving the surrounding area without a non-chain option. Finally, speaking of The Coffee Pot, the bar that took over that space at 350 W 49th St. is now open. A Buzz Agent tells us the space is dubbed Mickey Spillane's and is run-of-the-mill pub that should please bar goers hopping around this area, where Irish bars are popular. The space reportedly rushed to open in time for the Ninth Avenue food fair this weekend, so expect some touch ups to the decor as they play catch up over the next few days.
