Join Us for an Exclusive 'Midsummer Meat' Dinner at Barbecoa
On June 21, at 7 PM, our special 'Midsummer Meat' dinner at Barbecoa presents an opportunity to hunker down round a huge table, meet other like-minded meat lovers and try some seriously smokin’ food.
You know Barbecoa? It’s Jamie Oliver’s super-swanky City pad that surveyors drool over, citing “succulent” upscale American BBQ set against “to-die-for” views of St. Paul’s Cathedral.
During the event, not only will you be treated to a demonstration from the on-site butchers, but you’ll also get an opportunity to sample a huge range of dishes. You’ll start with a selection of tasty nibbles, including olives, pork scratchings and chicken liver toasts, before going on to sample three of the restaurant's most popular starters - Lyme Bay crab plate, pit-smoked babyback ribs and coal-roasted beet salad.
Then it’s time for the main event, a proper smorgasbord of meaty mains, including APL rib-eye (their signature cut), 'beer can' chicken and a double pork chop. If you’ve got any room left, there are three desserts awaiting your delectation - baked cheesecake, gooey chocolate tart and a selection of ice creams and sorbet. Each of the dishes will be introduced by one of the top chefs, who can tell you all about its preparation and answer any questions.
The cost per person is £75 for all-food, but if you don’t want the hassle of choosing your own wine, for £97 per person you get the full feast plus half a bottle of either Tinpot Hut Pinot Gris or Altos las Hormigas Malbec, as well as mineral water, coffee or tea.
