Foodie Happenings in London This Weekend: May 17-20

Making plans for the weekend? Not before you read this.

Get in the mood for the Jubliee celebrations with a visit to Braithwaite Cream Tea -  the adorable mobile cream tea van parked in Camden every Tuesday to Friday. Pick up freshly baked scones with homemade strawberry jam and proper English tea in paper cups printed with a traditional blue willow pattern.

Book now for next week's Urban Foraging morning with author Nick Weston. Learn how to recognise and collect edible items like wild garlic, elderflower and pine needles and then stay for a three-course lunch (£55) including your foraged items at The Crooked Well restaurant in Camberwell (020 7252 7798).

If your summer diet hasn't been going to plan sign up with The Detox Kitchen for a quick overhaul. They will deliver a healthy breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner to your door every day as well as supplements and a daily shot of wheatgrass, beetroot juice or something equally healthy (07967 30754).

The first in a series of pop-up Roast Sunday lunches takes place this week. Run by ex-Roganic chef Ben Spalding, they're happening at Beas of Bloomsbury's archway on Maltby Street. Book your space online to sit down with a hearty plate of roast with all the sides and pudding for £30.
