Some news coming out of Eataly, everyone's favorite Italian supermarket that happens to include a selection of killer restaurants. Manzo, the sit-down eatery inside of the Madison Square mega-mart, just announced that a new executive chef has taken over the kitchen. Actually, their new chef Fitz Tallon was promoted a few months ago, but the restaurant is just launching a new lunchtime tasting menu to showcase his new dishes. The three-course menu is actually a pretty good deal at $29 per person, with an additional $16 tacked on if you want wine pairings.
Tallon, who has worked at the restaurant for a while after a stint at Babbo, also plans ambitious dinner tastings for Spring. That will be rolled out in a bit, but stop by for lunch for now (212-229-2180).
