Dîner en Blanc Opens Philadelphia Waiting List

Dîner en Blanc Paris
The world’s most prestigious pop-up picnic is coming to Philly this summer, and the waiting list for registration is now open. First held in Paris nearly 25 years ago, Dîner en Blanc has spread to over a dozen cities throughout Europe and North America. In a nutshell, a pre-selected group of people dress in white from head to toe, gather supplies (you bring your own table, chairs, settings and tablecloths), pack a basket full of good eats, and converge on a set location, which is revealed only moments before the event begins.

The result? An annual refined dinner party with 1,000 or more of your citymates. The first U.S. version went down in New York last year, with slightly more mayhem than the suave French affair, but organizers have since launched in Chicago, Boston and other towns to great acclaim. Can Philadelphia pull off an elegant evening of outdoor dining among strangers? We are optimistically hopeful.

Head to the website to get your name in the running to be invited.
