Devi Reopens After Short Closure, Not Converting to Baluchi's

A dish at Devi
The other week, there were wide-spread reports that high-end restaurant Devi had closed for good and the space would convert to a branch of Baluchi's. Well, after closing for a spell, the restaurant has reopened under its original name and dropped plans to make the change. Although it will keep its moniker there have been some shuffles in the kitchen, celeb chef Suvir Saran isn't cooking there anymore. Dheeraj Tomar, who has worked at the restaurant in the past, has taken the helm in the kitchen and it looks like this one is gonna stick it out.

If you were just dying for another branch of Baluchi's, don't panic. One has actually opened on Henry Street in Brooklyn, taking over the spot that used to house Seasons. You can head over and get your vindaloo fix at 46 Henry.
