The mortadella hot dogs at Alla Spina are something special, and tonight only, you can snag one of the meaty, griddle-spilt franks for just 99 cents. That’s quite a deal, as the slim housemade sausages, served on a grilled bun with cabbage relish and spicy pickles, are usually $8 a pop. (The only difference: the dollar dog won't come with potato chips.)

Why the cured meat love? Over the weekend at NYC’s Great GoogaMooga festival, Marc Vetri sold out of the 1,000 dogs he brought with, and thought he’d bring the wave of mortadella madness back to Philly. From the opening at 4:30 PM through the kitchen’s close at midnight, the sandwich can be yours for less than $1.
