At artisinal charcuterie maker Jamie Stachowski’s just opened Stachowski Market and Deli in Georgetown, cooking enthusiasts will be tempted by a meat case displaying pancetta wrapped, ready to roast duck, fiery-looking Portuguese links, and adorable pigs trotters with notably clean nails. The other showcase is full of housemade bratwursts, boudin, kielbasa, pâtés and other meaty cured and prepared take-home fare for less ambitious eaters. A chalkboard lists the daily special sandwiches - kielbasa with housemade sauerkraut, pastrami, grinders and more. Soon the neighbors, dropping by this vintage-inspired storefront, will be able to snack and visit at walnut wood tables in its sunny window alcove. Meanwhile, they can schmooze with Stachowski as he bustles around in the open kitchen.
