Jazz Sundays at Le Caprice

It's long been the hang out of society London but now the iconic Le Caprice is aiming to make the usually humdrum Sunday night a new social event with the launch of their twice monthly Café Jazz. Most nights you'll find the house pianist tinkling the ivories, but this is a bit different with talented singers and musicians taking up temporary residence, to accompany the comfort food with some cool jazz.

The season launched last night with Louise Clare Marshall (a regular with Jools Holland, and a singer who has performed with Tom Jones, Beverly Knight and Marc Almond) taking to the mic and wowing the packed room with her soulful voice.

The next Café Jazz will be on 10 June (and then on the second and last Sunday of each month) with house pianist Sally Rowley joined by Greg Davis on sax and Sandy Burnett on double bass., playing a mix of classic jazz sounds - the perfect way to chase away the Sunday night blues.
