10 Mother's Day Brunch Options in the Boston Area

May 13 is around the corner, and if you need an elegant meal that mom will remember for the next 364 days, check out the 10 options below.

Aura: Moms and children alike will enjoy the buffet brunch at this American in the Seaport Hotel, complete with a chocolate fountain and The Kids Place 4 Fun, an area where children can create a keepsake craft for mom on the spot. The menu will include salmon cake Benedict, ricotta blintzes, French toast and a variety of pastries and much more (11 AM-3 PM; $55 per person; $13 kids 12-14, kids under 12, free; 617-385-4300).

Blue Room: An all-time favorite for brunch anytime, this Eclectic in Kendall Square, Cambridge, will make mom's day extra special with a menu that includes buttermilk pancakes and scrambled eggs with crème fraîche. Bergamot: This elegant New American in Somerville is only open twice a year for brunch, so take advantage of their three-course prix fixe brunch while you can ($33 per person; call for times 617-576-7700).

Deuxave: Decadence is in order, and this Back Bay New American has it covered with an all-day affair. The three-course prix fixe includes choices of nine-hour French onion soup; pork belly with chicken livers; butter poached Scituate lobster; elderflower panna cotta and more (11 AM-7 PM; $65 per person; 617-517-5915).

Harvest: Take it slow with an elegant all-day three-course brunch at this New Englander in Cambridge, where choices run from smoked river trout crostini; gulf shrimp cocktail; braised spring lamb; and citrus cheesecake (10:30 AM-8 PM; $60 per person; add $15 for half-glass pairings, and $25 for full-glass pairings; 617-868-2255).

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar: Not only do you get a lovely brunch from this Park Square steakhouse, but mom walks away with a $25 dining card to use in the future. The three-course prix fixe brunch includes filet mignon Benedict, and Fleming’s New Orleans-Style French toast made from thick slices of rich brioche bread soaked in Grand Marnier-flavored cinnamon batter, topped with Chantilly and fresh berries (11:30 AM-3 PM; $34.95 per person; children’s menu is $16.95 per child under 12; 617-292-0808).

Rialto: Jody Adams is presenting an elegant three-course brunch at her breezy Italian in the Charles Hotel in Harvard Square, Cambridge, with mom in mind. The menu includes asparagus with house smoked char; Peeky Toe crab omelet; and pistachio cake with lemon glaze and lemon curd cream (11 AM-2 PM; $65 per person; a children’s menu is available for $30; 617-661-5050).

Sea Crest Beach Hotel: Head to Cape Cod to give the treat of an elegant brunch overlooking the ocean in Falmouth. The three-course brunch includes grilled East Coast salmon, omelets, Belgian waffles, bacon, sausage and more, plus a long-stem rose for mom (11:30 AM-4 PM; $45 per person, children under 12, $19; 508-540-9400).
