Wine Is Such a Riot

Years ago Morgan First and Tyler Balliet eschewed the intimidating sniff-and-sip approach to wine tasting and created The Wine Riot, a tasting event full of fun and frivolity. As they say on the Second Glass website (their company), “It was an instant hit.”


What is a wine riot, you say? It's an offering of 250 wines in four hours, including other fun stuff like a photo booth, DJ and temporary tattoos. This year’s event takes place at the Park Plaza Castle, April 20-21, with opening night April 20 and Riots 1 and 2 taking place April 21, 1-5 PM and 7-11 PM, respectively ($60 for opening night; $50 per Wine Riot; click here for tickets).
