Music, food and sustainability will collide at the Sweetlife Festival happening on Saturday, April 28 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion. Sponsored by Sweetgreen, the eco-friendly salad cafes, the event will feature performances from 18 rock, alternative, electronic and hip-hop artists, as well as food from farmers, restaurants and food trucks including Jose Andres’ Pepe, Luke’s Lobster and Shake Shack. To promote sustainability, there will be interactive stations with activities like charging your cell phone using a bicycle or a giant see-saw (...that's one way to get a work out). A portion of the proceeds benefit D.C. Central Kitchen. Go here for tickets and the lineup.
