Quench, a sleek startup launching in Rockville/North Potomac’s Traville Gateway complex in early May, plans to slake MoCo thirsts with craft cocktails and contemporary American nibbles and dinner fare. The urbane digs will feature lounge chairs, couches and a communal table, while wood plank paneling, faux animal skin rugs and cut-off logs serving as lounge tables add rustic touches. On the menu, expect whimsically named nibbles and stuff to share like fondue. Heartier sandwiches - such as a ‘tongue and cheek’ (pastrami and corned beef tongue) - and entrees are designed to sustain guests through the evening. There’ll be desserts that revisit childhood treats, as well, including a housemade "Twinkie," blueberry hand pies and cotton-candy pops.
