NYC Restaurant Does Petting Zoo Brunch, Happy Hour at Bobo

Here's one we've never seen before. To celebrate Easter Sunday, Italian restaurant Asellina is inviting you to a petting zoo. Since most diners don't want to eat in a room with barnyard animals all over the floor, the menagerie will be hosted in the Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel, which also houses the restaurant. Kids will be able to play with bunnies, chicks, turtles and a tortoise on the hotel's patio, from 11 AM to 1 PM and then head over for Easter brunch. There will also be an Easter bunny for photos and a clown making animal balloons (212-317-2908).

If the thought of a restaurant petting zoo makes you want a drink, check out the new happy hour at Bobo. The West Villager will offer $5 glasses of beer and wine from 5 to 7 PM on weekdays. Even better, if you order two dishes from the bar menu, you can get a third for free (not including the burger). Sound like this is one happy hour that's good for a date. Just don't get too tipsy on those cheap drinks - they will so judge (212-488-2626).
