Last Chance to Vote in the LA Survey: Tell Us Your Favorite Cheap Eats

Our current LA Restaurants survey is just about finished, wrapping up this Sunday. Which means there are still a few days left to show off your dining expertise by voting for all your favorite (and not so favorite) spots to fuel up around town. For some inspiration, we've put together a list highlighting some of the area's best affordable eats, as sorted by their bang for your buck rating - something we think everyone can relate to this close to tax day. Click through the slideshow, and then go vote for your favorite burgers, hot dogs, tacos and more!

  1. Always awesome! You can never get enough of the Urge!

  2. Not what it used to be. The meat is now thin, the chili is not thick. Carl's Junior (sadly) makes a chili burger that rocks in comparison to Tommy's. In the glory days (10 yrs ago), Tommy's rocked.

  3. To me, Carney's Express (on Sunset) has BY FAR the best cheeseburgers and hotdogs in LA!

  4. Slaw Dog on Lake in Pasadena does a great job with a variety of dogs you never even thought of. Really good beer list and the people are nice, too. Worth a look-see.

  5. Oinkster in Eagle Rock rocks!!! The best pulled pork sandwich in town. Lots of other good stuff and a nice choice of beers.

  6. Lucky Boys on Arroyo Parkway in Pasadena has the very best breakfast burrito anywhere. All the local high school kids swamp the place on Saturdays and Sunday mornings. Really good huge hamburgers and terrific fries. Really good food overall. When you're hungry, you can go there to EAT.

  7. LIttle Cafe.......Tarzana Calif.

For under 410.00 Breakfast and Lunch you can't do better. Their fries are perfection.....and their breakfasts are legend! Fresh chicken and turkey salads, made health conscious....with huge vegetable side dish. Service always warm and fast. We're regulars since 1982!

  8. I agree with the person about The Little Cafe In Tarzana ... but I'm puzzled about his 410.00? The menu for both breakfast and lunch is huge. All the locals around here know how fantastic the meals are. My wife and I and friends have been coming for years. Breakfast omelets are marvelous.
Lunch always has two home soups along with freshest and delicious entrees. Storefront, but beaming inside with friendliness. For what you get in taste, quality and quantity the price is remarkably low! We'll see you there.
