Gordon Ramsay Beefs Up Las Vegas

Las Vegas is where the great chefs of the world go...to cook steak. (It's also where they go to make bucketfuls of money, but that's a whole other story.) Jean-Georges Vongerichten has a steakhouse in Las Vegas. So do Wolfgang Puck, Mario Batali, Tom Colicchio, Michael Mina and Emeril Lagasse. And now, so will potty-mouth TV chef Gordon Ramsay.

Come May 11, Gordo will be burning the beef at Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas - or at least, his executive chef, Kevin Hee will be. Along with Wagyu and dry-aged beef, Ramsay's latest will also offer butter-poached Maine lobster, fried oysters and smoked beef tartare. And just for the fun of it, he's also serving dishes from several of his London restaurants - think fish 'n' chips from The Narrow and pork belly with candied kumquats from Bread Street Kitchen. And yes, what we have here is a Scottish chef cooking American beef in a hotel shaped like the Eiffel Tower in the midst of the Nevada Desert - which is all so Vegas.
