If you’re considering splurging on a great restaurant meal, Thursday is the day to do it. Though it has grown into a national organization with participating cities across the entire U.S., the charity event
Dining Out For Life began 22 years ago in Philadelphia as a project of ActionAIDS. On April 26, when you go out to eat at one of of the more that 200 participating restaurants, 33% of your tab will be donated to local AIDS service organizations. (Philly options include Center City favorites like
Zahav and
Village Whiskey to BYOs like
Audrey Claire and
Mercato to suburban standouts such as
Susanna Foo Gourmet Kitchen and
Trax Cafe). Check out the full list
here, and be sure to make reservations, because the chance to do good is a popular pastime.
