Corner Social Will Bring Draft Beer and Bar Food to Harlem in May

Today, we took a look at a new restaurant opening Uptown, like waaayyy Uptown. Well, if you're not willing to go all the way North to Riverdale, another new opening above 100th street is coming but this one is much easier to reach. We just got word about a new bar and restaurant in Harlem dubbed Corner Social, which is scheduled to open on May 17. The drinkery wants to be that type of neighborhood joint that's good for all occasions - there will be 18 draft lines with a selection of brews ranging from the standard (Stella) to the more unique (Green Flash). A menu of bar food will be served, in addition to the obligatory burger, there will be dishes like braised pork belly with smashed potatoes and some lobster mac 'n' cheese.

The easygoing joint will feature communal tables and a working fireplace that will keep things warm in the winter. There will also be some retro design elements like a tin ceiling and some tiles that have been reclaimed from the subway. Stay tuned for the opening at 126th and Lenox, which is just a few doors down from Red Rooster if you're looking to make a night of it. Get more info here.
