Atlantic City's Revel Open for Preview

Today, the long-awaited Revel Resort & Casino opens its doors in Atlantic City for an eight-week preview, bringing some of the Eastern seaboard's hottest chefs to the New Jersey resort town. There are 14 restaurants on-site, but we hear that only a few of them are open for the preview (the resort officially opens on Memorial Day with a massive bash). Word has it that Jose Garces' Amada and a spinoff of New York's Lugo will be the first to open, with DC-based venues from Michel Richard (his O Bistro is pictured above) and Robert Wiedmaier opening next week.

The project, which cost over $2 billion, is somewhat of a risk, as gambling revenues have been down in the city. But, with the economy in recovery mode, maybe this massive haunt will be just what the gambling mecca needs to inject some new blood into its scene. Stay tuned for more coverage from AC, and take a peek at Wiedmaier's Mussel Bar below the jump.
