  2. "the booze-infused milkshakes will make diners feel like kids again".

I don't know where you grew up, but they didn't put booze in my milkshake when I was a kid.

  3. The Indie Burger at Indie Burger in Lakeview...wow. All organic ingredients and 100% grass fed beef!!! It's a relatively new place but maybe next year they will crack the top 5!!!

    1. Sorry..Indie Burger was disappointing.
Healthier, yes but dry and tasteless.
      Better ways to drop $12.

  4. Edzo's Charburger in Evanston! With Slagel beef, you can't go wrong!

    1. Edzo's is decent, but it has very limited hours (e.g. no dinner) and it is not really a "restaurant".

    2. You shouldn't discount them for having limited hours, since it has no bearing on how good the burgers are. It's like saying Kuma's burger is worse because the bar don't serve a certain type of beer.

If you're going to start nitpicking about what a "restaurant" is, then you have some issues. It strictly serves food and drinks in exchange for money, it's a restaurant.

  5. Kuma's is fun, but it is ridiculously crowded.

  6. Has anyone even tried the burgers at the Lockdown in Ukrainian Village? Obviously not.
By far, hands down, the best burger in Chicago - the Lockdown's Mother F*&^# Warden - it may even be the best burger in the nation. The Angus beef is infused with bacon, leeks, garlic and shallots then stuffed with Merkts cheddar and topped with fried leeks and shallots that have been tossed in truffle oil - it literally melts in your mouth! And that is just one of more than a dozen burgers on the menu. Come on Kuma's? So overrated.

    1. Ukrainan Village? You better bring your own security to that seedy part of town.

    2. Are you serious?! You clearly need to venture out of River North more often if you really think Ukrainian Village is seedy.

  7. You can get access to all the great burgers at Rockit Burger Bar on gDine! http://www.gdine.com/restaurant/restaurant_profile/rockit-burger-bar

  8. Butcher and the burger...should not be rated as the #4 burger in Chicago. It is not a bad burger but no where near the top. For the price and those dry fries you have to be kidding me!!!

  9. Forget these gourmet burgers and mammoth piles of burger monstrosities like at Kuma's and Lockdown. If you want the best TASTING burger in Chicago. My vote goes to FADO irish pub. Get the bacon cheddar burger. It's just huge enough and you won't find a juicier, tastier burger. 2nd place goes to Charcoal Delights up on Foster ave. A perfect char grilled taste, just like you made it in the back yard with chopped white onions. Emerald Loop comes in 3rd. A flawless standard cheeseburger.
None of these are expensive burgers.
    You're welcome.
