A Dinner With Cocktail Pairings at The Beagle

East Village restaurant The Beagle (which was on our list of 2011's hottest openings) draws diners in with more than just food. The restaurant has a kick-butt bar program, with tenders mixing up artisanal libations that are meant to pair with the American grub. On March 21, our Presents program is teaming up with the eatery to offer a special dinner to celebrate the Vernal Equinox. Three courses of spring-centric fare will be prepared by chef Garrett Eagleton, while bar manager Dan Greenbaum will be on hand to make four drinks meant to pair with the chow. Expect dishes like milk-braised pork with apricots and sunchokes - Eagleton and Greenbaum will be on hand to offer the stories behind each dish and guide you through the pairings. There are seatings at 6:30 and 8:30 PM, and you can join in the fun for $105 per person. To score a spot, e-mail reservations@thebeaglenyc.com and mention "Zagat Presents March 21 event" and your preferred seating time.
