Colonie Team To Open Mexican Gran Electrica Next Week in DUMBO

Here's a new opening very fitting to Mexican Food Week - Brad McDonald, who helms Colonie in Brooklyn Heights (and who has worked at Noma and Per Se), and chef Sam Richman (Fat Duck, Jean Georges) will open Gran Electrica on Monday in DUMBO, a new regional Mexican eatery in the old Five Front space. The market-driven menu will attempt to showcase a variety of different regional specialties including takes on street food items. Hand-pressed tortillas will hold a variety of savory tacos and you can also expect dishes like Cocteles and Mole Verde Oaxaqueno.
