Bonnaroo coming to NYC?

What do the words googa mooga mean to you? Well, according to the Urban Dictionary, it was used in the '50's and 60's as a phrase to express exasperation. Ummmm....we wonder why that one never caught on (more accurately, the phrase in all of its cuckoo glory was "great googa mooga!"). Well, the phrase is getting dusted off, and it will be the name of a food festival coming to Brooklyn this May. Slated for Prospect Park on May 19 and 20, the fest is actually organized by the folks who run Bonnaroo down in Tennessee.

The focus there is on music, but here it will be on grub - the weekend-long shindig is being billed as "an amusement park of food and drink," but bands will also be on tap to keep folks entertained as they scarf stuff down. Details are a little scarce at this point, but it sounds like they will focus on local fare, as Empire State wine and beer makers are promised to be on hand.
