Beaumarchais. The team of Ryan Tarantino and Corey Lane, who first brought party brunches to the Meatpacking District as partners in the restaurant Bagatelle, will bring those daytime revelries to the Hamptons this summer, along with Beaumarchais signature dishes like tuna tartare with avocado and plantain chips, roasted chicken and lighter summer fare such as fish and salads. While neither the Beaumarchais or Philippe people would comment on the deal, we hear if all goes well, they will be open the week before Memorial Day.
Speaking of Bagatelle, a new Meatpacking location has been in the works for a while, but there has been crickets coming out of that space. With MPD on the ropes right now, Beaumarchais is currently one of the only places keeping the party alive in that area of town.
