There is such a growing interest in cooking classes these days, that I am sure more schools/centers/private classes will be emerging across the country.

ReplyDeleteGreat list! I've taken the cupcake class at Butter Lane and had an awesome time. I'd also have to agree with the comment above - I think we should expect to see more of these types of classes popping up.

DeleteI've used Coursehorse to find cooking classes in NYC before. I just checked and they do have sushi classes, and also feature all the classes of the schools listed in this article, like Brooklyn Kitchen, Butter Lane, and Camaje. DeleteI tried a class with a chef by the name of Jeff Seligman here in NY. Even though I've been cooking all my life - it was an eye opener in terms of technique.

I also took a class with Chef Jeff Seligman in NYC and loved it. He was patient, talented, and creative and left me more confident in my cooking skills. I recommend his courses for anyone interested in developing or refining skills at any level.
