Texas Survey Preview: The 6 Best Restaurants in Austin

We're gearing up for the launch of our 2012 Texas Restaurants Survey on March 7, but many of you are making plans to head down to the Lone Star State for the South by Southwest Festival, which launches that week in Austin. Well, today we're launching our first ever Flavors of Austin guide, which will give SXSW goers an edge in planning their culinary exploits.

The guide is available digitally at www.ZAGAT.com/SXSW (and it's free, suh-weet). It covers a selection of the 377 Austin restaurants that will be included in the full guide, including the winners. And, who are those you ask? Japanese restaurant Uchi was the number one spot for food, scoring and impressive 29 out of 30. Green Pastures was the winner in the Decor category, while Congress took the top honors for Service and Eddie V's was voted the Most Popular Restaurant.
