At Lone Star Taco Bar in Allston, from the folks behind Deep Ellum next door, dig into $4 tapas-style tacos - think carnitas, Baja fish and ground beef stuffed into housemade corn tortillas - plus nachos and huevos rancheros (available all day).

Its pared-down digs, decorated with a buffalo head, are open till 1 AM daily, which should provide plenty of opportunity to sip killer cocktails like the El Diablo margarita with habanero-infused agave and a chili, cayenne, salt and sugar rim.
