| Taiwanese Te-Bao at BaoHaus |
We're not going to pretend we understand "Linsanity" - a nationwide obsession with Knicks player,
Jeremy Lin. Nevertheless, NYC's obsession with Lin has officially seeped into the culinary realm as well. 30 Under 30 honoree
Eddie Huang is offering a "Taiwanese Te-bao" sandwich ($3.50) in honor of Lin at his bao shop,
BaoHaus, which contains a pork chop with curry seasoning, pickled daikon-carrot, jalapeno, aioli and cilantro.
Meanwhile over in Brooklyn,
Dale Talde, chef/owner of
Talde restaurant is offering a free drink to any diner sporting a Lin jersey. What Lin-related food deal will be next? Stay tuned to find out...
I fail to see how naming something after Tebow is in any way honoring Jeremy Lin.
