The East Bay's 8 Best Restaurants

Alice Waters changed the East Bay dining game - and kicked off a national culinary movement - when she opened Chez Panisse in 1971. Since then, the restaurant scene across the bridge has continued to grow stronger with every year. But which are the best spots? Click through the slideshow to find out, and let us know your thoughts by voting in our SF/Bay Area Restaurants survey, happening now.

  1. Oliveto's, Bay Wolf, Lalimes, Rivoli, Bucci's

  2. Cheeseboard instead of Camino???

  3. Bay Wolf? Certainly not anymore. Their service has gone way downhill, and Oakland has far better food for the price.

Dopo consistently serves amazing food, both in terms of quality ingredients and the final product. Their ragus are hands-down the best anywhere.
