Well, it's not exactly freezing outside, but it's still the season for hot toddies.
The Royalton just announced that they will dish out custom-made warm drinks at the lobby bar. If it does get chilly out (or, if you just want to deny the global-warming weather outside), you can enjoy these piping-hot beverages next to the hotel's fireplace. The drinks are $16 and you can create you own - pick a booze, and then build it up by adding spices, fruits and garnishes. The whole thing makes it really feel like it's winter, even if the weather doesn't agree (212-869-4440).
SushiSamba is also rolling out a few new drinks for their happy hour. This month's specials feature a Japanese theme - guests can enjoy $6 bites like
bigeye tuna tartare along with a list of reduced-price cocktails like the
Sultry Sake Chu-Tini, a mix of shochu, sake, lychee and mango. The deal is available from 4 to 7 PM, Monday through Friday at both locations.
