Num Pang Sandwich Shops (the best in NYC, according to our surveyors) have teamed up with the Italian toque for an inventive partnership. He came up with a Cambodian sandwich dubbed the Batali Pang, which will raise money for two charities - the Food Bank for New York City and the Cambodian Children's Fund. This ditty consists of cotecchino sausage, balsamic pickled onions and Cacio de Roma cheese, topped with homemade chili mayo, pickled carrots, cucumbers cilantro and served on a toasted semolina flour baguette. Num Pang Guest Chefs Give Back, which pairs notable food people with the sandwich shop to produce limited run offerings to raise money. $6 from the sale of every sandwich gets diverted to the good causes, so go ahead and stuff your face.
